Glass & Window Services in Pittsburg, CA

---

Yes, the City of Pittsburg Building Division generally requires a building permit for window replacements to ensure compliance with California Title 24 energy efficiency and safety glazing requirements. When you work with us, our experienced team handles the local permitting process from start to finish to ensure your installation meets all municipal codes.

Generally, no. If your existing window frame is in good condition and we are simply replacing a cracked, broken, or fogged pane of glass (a glass-only repair), a City of Pittsburg building permit is typically not required. However, if the glass being replaced is in a "hazardous location"—such as inside a bathroom shower zone, next to a door, or near the floor—California building codes require us to upgrade the window to tempered safety glass if it isn't already.

Absolutely! We specialize in designing and installing custom frameless glass shower enclosures. You can even visit our physical showroom in downtown Pittsburg to view different glass thicknesses, textures, and hardware finishes (like brushed nickel and matte black) in person before customizing your layout.
